We are thrilled to announce that our colleague, Cassandra Koh, has been awarded a highly prestigious ERC Starting Grant from the European Research Council (ERC) for her groundbreaking project, MULTITUDES. This award is a recognition of Cassandra's exceptional research into the biology and ecology of novel mosquito-specific viruses, exploring virus-host interactions and their impact on the transmission of arboviruses.

The ERC Starting Grant is awarded to outstanding early-career researchers (2 to 7 years post-PhD) to support ambitious and high-risk projects. With this funding, Cassandra, currently a postdoctoral fellow in the Viruses and RNA Interference Unit, will establish her own research team to delve deeper into mosquito virus ecology, contributing to our understanding of mosquito-borne diseases under the One Health concept.

At the Grants Office, we are dedicated to helping researchers achieve success in securing competitive European funding. We encourage all scientists at the Institut Pasteur to contact us for support in preparing their proposals. Our team is here to provide guidance throughout the application process to help ensure the best possible outcomes.
