ANR & Institut Pasteur: the past, the present & the future

By Despoina Mademtzoglou, project manager - GO

The past

Supporting competitive research across fields, the ANR’s annual generic call for proposals is the go-to funding for researchers at Institut Pasteur. And the success rates are well above the national average, underlining the high quality of science at our institute! This is particularly true for the exceptional junior researchers of Institut Pasteur that are supported to lead multi-year projects through the JCJC instrument of the annual generic call.

The present

So far, for 2024, 44 proposals were funded by the different instruments of this call (excluding PRCI, the results of which are not available yet). The Grants Office would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all successful candidates!

The future

For the 2025 call, candidates can submit their applications by October 15th, 2024. Candidates will be preselected early next year to submit a full proposal. As in the past, the Grants Office provides administrative support for all proposals, has grant writing recommendations for specific proposal sections (e.g. open science, gender dimension, risks and mitigation strategies), and provides special additional support to our young researchers applying for JCJC through dedicated webinars and grant writing advice at the pre-proposal and full proposal stages. For the 2025 call, the GO-national will organize a specific training session on September 12th, 2024 (14:00-15:15) via Teams to help you prepare your JCJC proposal (link here).
