The Grants Office was invited by Tryptich to present its activities to postdoctoral researchers and students from three departments: Cell Biology & Infection / Developmental & Stem Cell Biology / Immunology. This event, designed to equip early-career researchers with the essential skills needed to secure research funding, attracted a diverse group of participants eager to enhance their grant writing capabilities.

The first session in July included the short general presentation of the Grants Office activities presented by Yoan Emritloll, head of the GO National Division and Basics of the Grant Writing presented by Ksenia Bagrintseva, senior grant writer. This workshop provided a comprehensive overview of the grant application process, what would be considered while preparing grant application and what is required for the success. It covered key topics such as identifying funding opportunities, understanding the structure of grant proposals, and crafting compelling narratives that align with funding agency priorities. Participants were also given practical tips on how to avoid common pitfalls and how to effectively communicate their research goals to reviewers.

This workshop reflects the growing demand for targeted support in grant writing, particularly among early-career researchers who are navigating the competitive landscape of academic funding.

In response to this demand, the organizing committee has announced that next workshops covering related topics will be held in the coming months. These sessions will delve deeper into specific aspects of the grant writing process, including budgeting, project planning, and long-term grant management. Participants are encouraged to attend these upcoming sessions to further enhance their skills and increase their chances of securing funding for their research.

This ongoing series of workshops underscores the Grants Office's commitment to supporting its researchers at every stage of their careers, ensuring they have the tools needed to succeed in an increasingly competitive academic environment.
