In 2025, the ANRS launched the third call for proposals of the PEPR MIE, out of 18 projects submitted and eligible, 7 projects have been selected for funding.
The Institut Pasteur is coordinating two projects:
Flu-PREDICT (A coupled experimental-active machine-learning approach to predict packaging and reassortment between avian IAVs and human or swine IAVs), coordinated by Nadia Naffakh, Head of the RNA Biology of Influenza Virus Unit.
INFODEM-EARLY (An Augmented-Anthropology Platform for Real-time Detection, Classification and Mitigation of Infodemics, Fostering Arboviral Vaccine Confidence in the French DROM), coordinated by HEYERDAHL Léonard from Anthropologie and Ecology of Disease Emergence unit headed by GILES-VERNICK Tamara.
Alongside this call for proposals, the ANRS also introduced its first call for "chaires junior” applications. For this edition, out of 4 projects submitted and eligible, 2 projects have been selected for funding:
CLIMARBO (Arbovirus transmission in a changing climate: a molecular perspective on Aedes mosquitoes) led by VIAL Thomas from Interactions Virus-Insectes unit headed by LAMBRECHTS Louis.
