The main call of the French National Research Agency (ANR) is the yearly Generic Call for Projects (AAPG: Appel à Projets Générique). It is aimed at all scientific communities and all public and private entities involved in French research. The Generic Call for Projects is comprised of five funding instruments, each with its own specificities in terms of submission and evaluation procedures.

The instruments can fund:

  • Individual research projects carried out by young researchers (JCJC),

  • Ambitious research projects carried out by a team as part of the "Single Team Research Project" (PRME),

  • Collaborative research projects between public bodies in a national (PRC) or bilateral international (PRCI) context, and between public and private bodies (PRCE).

When submitting a project, researchers choose the funding instrument that corresponds to the objectives of their project and the structure of their partnership. The yearly Generic call for projects is in two stages.

Regarding the AAPG2024, the step 2 of the ANR call is ongoing.

The national division of the Grants Office has prepared various documents (budget template, guide, etc.)  that can assist researchers to submit their proposals to the step 2. They can be download on ePasteur: Link

You can, also, find a dedicated ePasteur page concerning the ANR JCJC (young researchers) with presentation and training session: Link
