Is the impact section just a lot of empty words?

– Did I say the quiet part out loud? It’s no secret that many researchers aren’t exactly enthusiastic about writing this section. Often, it feels like a parade of buzzwords, disconnected from the real science and its tangible outcomes. Researchers, already overwhelmed with doing their best science, are also expected to navigate the complex policies and strategic objectives of funding agencies. For scientists trained to avoid exaggeration, crafting an impact statement can feel particularly uncomfortable – almost as though they’re being asked to make things up.

However, the impact section is crucial and must be addressed thoughtfully.

👉 This is where a skilled scientific grant writer can make a real difference. 👈

With a deep understanding of EU policies and a solid scientific background, a grant writer can effectively bridge the gap between the research outcomes and the goals of funding agencies. They bring clarity, highlighting both the short- and long-term value of the project, in collaboration with researchers and without resorting to hyperbole. Best of all, this allows researchers to focus on what they do best - conducting outstanding science.

👉 If you're a researcher who finds the impact section daunting, collaborating with a grant writer could make all the difference. Let’s make your science shine, without the stress! 💡
