Following Brexit, UK-based researchers and organisations could no longer receive funding from Horizon Europe, the Research & Innovation funding scheme of the European Commission between 2021-2027. As of January 1st, 2024, they will be able to participate in Horizon Europe programs with their counterparts in EU Member States and will have access to Horizon Europe funding thanks to a deal signed in September 2023 between the UK and the European Commission. So, from now on, when applying with a consortium to EC funding, you can include a UK partner as part of your consortium!

For more information you can read the press release from the European Commission here: https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/ip_23_4374

If you want more information on countries eligible for funding from outside Europe, you can contact us and carefully read the text of the call.
